Earning your Oregon real estate license--What you need to know

A licensed real estate broker can conduct professional real estate activity as defined in ORS 696.010  while supervised by a principal broker.

To qualify for a real estate broker license, you must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma, GED or international equivalent.

Next, complete these steps in this order:

Complete a Real Estate License application and submit it to the State of Oregon Real Estate Agency with the required fee.

Complete the required 150 hour pre-license exam education.

Register and pay for broker license exam.

Pass both the state and national sections of the broker license exam.

Submit fingerprints for background check while at the PSI testing center.

Associate your license with a principal broker or registered business name.
